Welcome party  (Sunday, September 4th)

Welcome party will take place in the Atrium of Faculty of Social Studies (FSS) from 17:00 to 20:00. It is open to all registered participants and accompanying persons. Small sandwiches and drafted beer will be served.

Evening with the stars and planets  (Monday, September 5th)

Are you interested in watching stars? Then, you should not miss the programme at the Brno Observatory and Planetarium. You can listen to the history of the universe (We are stars 3D in english) in digitarium, observe the stars and planets with modern telescopes and enjoy the view of the Brno. The departure to the Observatory and Planetarium will be at 19:00 from the main entrace of the FSS by our own tram. The movie in digitarium will start at 19:30. Observation of stars and planets will be possible in clear sky from 21:00 to 22:00. Take comfortable shoes.

Excursions in Brno  (Wednesday, September 7th)

On Wednesday afternoon you can discover the beauties of Brno. There will be guides who will introduce you to the most interesting parts of Brno.

You can select from following tours:

First time in Brno (2 hours)
During this tour, your guide will introduce you to the main sights in the city centre. You can admire Brno’s remarkable squares, see the monumental St. Peter and Paul Cathedral and others.

Brno legends and curiosities (2 hours)
We recommend this tour of the historic centre to anyone interested in myths, legends and fables. On the route, you will get acquainted with famous and lesser-known Brno legends. We will also help you discover trivia and curiosities that you may overlook while walking through the streets.

The best of Brno city centre (3 hours)
During this tour, you will get to know the city centre and the mighty Špilberk Castle towering on the hill above Brno as a monument to the ancient military glory or a reminder of the hard labour prison system. The castle also offers a great view of the whole city and the tallest building in Brno. It is the best way to get to know Brno, both historical and contemporary.

Conference dinner  (Thursday, September 8th)

Dinner with typical Czech food and beers will be served in Pivovarský dům, where one of the oldest breweries in Brno is located. We will be introduced to the competition winners for the best posters and student lectures. During this evening you can listen and dance to cymbal music. Conference dinner will start at 19:00. Dress code: Casual
